Is a full duvet for a twin bed too big?

It probably is, huh? Would I be able to alter the size? There is only one size of this duvet left and I really want it. If need altering, can it be done by myself (I know how to sew) or do I have to take it to someone? Or can I just fold the extra fabric under the duvet? My bed is against the wall. Thanks!
