Are used mattresses safe?
Okay, now thinking about it, that sounds kinda gross. I am a single lady in an apt building where my neighbor is all set to retire from the school that I work so I think of them as pretty decent senior citizens. As I'm leaving today, I see them moving out. They go on about how they have a King Sized bed, about 6 yrs old and (as a nice gesture) asked to take a peak. It's pretty cute. The bed frame (head & foot board) are twisted wicker. Something you could easily mesh into any decor. The question comes on the actual mattresses. The wife went on to note that they took the care to flip them regularly. Is it safe to buy a used mattress? What do you think? I mean, the price that they are willing to let it go for is good, compared to what they probably spent on it.
I always buy used mattresses. I'm still alive!
I wouldn't worry about the one you're talking about. You know it's been with the same people for 6 years.
Do you ever sleep in a hotel room? Think how many different people have slept on those.
If you want the mattress, buy it, and don't worry!
