Why do my chocolate chip cookies burn underneath?

Everytime i bake cookies, the top is nice and done, but the bottom is extra crispy.
i use the spam and even without it, i dont know why. the temperature is set to the right amount.
would it help if i use a baking sheet.

I use a baking sheet, but i have seen some people put something in between the cookies and the baking sheet, and i was curious to know what it was. to see if it helped my case.
I only sprayed it with pam (not spam lol, thanks Brian J) after it got burned the first 2 times. i thought it would make a difference. it didnt.
Putting them on a higher rack makes sense now too.
I am going to start taking them out when the top is undercooked, i usually just waited until the timer going went off.

but yeah a baking sheet would help..what have u been using??

and try turning the temp down like 15 or 20 degrees. and take the cookies out when the tops make seem undercooked, because they will continue to carry-over cook while the bottoms will be just perfectly done
