Set Sage Green

Too much black..?

So far i have a black leather 3 piece living room set. It is really square.. and the 3 tables to match that are also square.. My question is, would it look okay to put up sage green accents.(my two favorite colors). For the bedroom set, its a sturdy cherry wood set, what colors would make it more feminine(its my bf's set) but not overly girly.

I like the sage and black idea. You could paint the walls sage and use white and aqua accents in the summer, beige and cinnamon in the winter. "Herbal Tea" by Pittsburgh paints is a nice sage shade.
For the bedroom, a very pale buttery yellow would look great with the cherry furniture but if the bf thinks that's too feminine, a nice clear robin's egg blue would look great too. I used "Mystic Harbor" by Behr in my bedroom and love it.

What color to paint my baby boy's nursery if I have sage green bedding?

I don't want to do yellow.

I was thinking along the lines of aqua blue or green. But thought that if I chose green there would be too much of it. I want it to be bright and cheery and boyish..

Thanks everyone.. great suggestions.. I forgot to mention the bedding has white dragonflies on it.. So i was going with a nature theme!!
