Ruffles Comforter Sheets

Should I exchange or just return it?

Yesterday I bought a Complete Bedroom in a bag set from Wal-Mart. It includes a comforter dust ruffle flat sheet, fitted sheet, and pillow cases all for the super low price of $39. I took it home and washed it only to find that the comforter got shredded in the wash!

I didn't expect a $40 set to last but I did expect it to last a little longer. Does anyone have a set like this from Wa-Mart? Should I return it and put the money towards a "quality" comforter? Or should I just exchange it and hope it doesn't shred in the wash?
I've already called Wal-Mart and they will allow me to return it.

If its shredded, then I don't think Walmart will accept it for a return or exchange because its already damaged by YOU. Did you read the receipt for their return policy? Did you read the washing care instructions before you washed it? Chances are you are gonna have to keep the comforter. Sorry.
