The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional football in the United States, culminating in a season that begins in late summer the previous calendar year. The Super Bowl uses Roman numerals to identify each game, rather than the year takes place. For example, the Super Bowl was played January 15, 1967, following the regular season was played in 1966, while the Super Bowl XLV will be played February 6, 2011, to determine the champion of the 2010 regular season.

The game takes place every year on a Sunday as the final game of the NFL playoffs. Originally the game was already in mid-January, after fourteen seasons of regular play and two rounds of the playoffs. Over the years, the Super Bowl has gone second Sunday of January, the third, then fourth Sunday of January, the game was the first Sunday of February, as the current five weeks, the regular season and three rounds of the playoffs.

Steelers beat the New York Jets AFC Championship Game at the conference to get the right to play in the Super Bowl. Who had already won the AFC North, which allowed a pass to the second round of the playoffs. The Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round before winning 31-24 to the Jets. This is against the champion Green Bay Packers NFC, who beat Chicago Bears with ease. Earlier in the Wild Card Weekend, Philadelphia Packers overcame a tight game that saw the 21-14 victory against the Atlanta Playoffs winning numbers on one side, which took the score to 48-21. This should make the Super Bowl an interesting battle.

Pittsburgh Steelers will qualify again for Super bowl in their third time in six seasons. The Pittsburgh Steelers have won six Super Bowl, while the other two teams, the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, have each won five. Fifteen other NFL franchises have won at least one Super Bowl. Only four active NFL franchises, the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans have not been presented during the Super Bowl: The Browns and Lions won NFL championships prior to the Super Bowl era, while the Jaguars and the Texans joined the league after the era has begun.

Green Bay Packers won the first two Super Bowl, defeating the AFL Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders AFL according to the seasons 1966 and 1967, respectively. The Packers were led by quarterback Bart Starr, who was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in two games. Both championships, along with the Packers in the NFL championship in 1961, 1962 and 1965 led many to consider the Packers to the "team of the 60." Green Bay is often referred to as "Title Town, USA."

Super Bowl XLV will surely be a game that we are all excited to see. The Pittsburgh Steelers match against the Green Bay Packers on 07 February 2011 @ Cowboy Stadium in Arlington Texas. Both teams showed what they have against their respective opponents division that ended explosively. The Steelers shut down the Jets in a 24-19 score, while Green Bay Packers disappoint the home field of the bears, and that sealed the faith of their team by scoring 21-14.

If Steelers win a Super Bowl and Big Ben gets a Super Bowl MVP is he on the same level or better than Brady?

I would have to say yes because Brady last super bowl came in 2005. He has been unable to win any recently even though he is in his prime and the Brady fans often said that Brady was better than Manning because he had more Super Bowl Rings. Therefore because Ben Roethlisberger (assuming Pittsburgh win) would have 3 Super Bowls in 5 years and would have led a team once or wice to win a game on the final drive he is the better than Brady.

He is better now! He does not get flustered at the first sign of pressure and throw the ball away. I am a Jets fan and I am more concerned with Ben then I was with Brady. Ben will move and take a hit if he has to, others will not!
