Would a tattoo help to disguise a scar?

I have a scar on my tummy from my tummy button to the pubic bone, and have a keloid (scar tissue) on the lower part. Would a pretty tattoo disguise it? Am thinking along the lines of a pretty floral chain made up of pink and red roses with trailing green leaves.

Stick with the scar instead of a tattoo running down your stomach. My opinion. If it's your stomach or something your worried about then the tattoo would attract more attention.
