Acne Pillowcase - Can A Dirty Pillowcase cause More Acne?

Using a dirty pillowcase ( acne Pillowcase ) aggravates an acne condition. Your face naturally secretes oils during the night. These oils are sticky. So if you pillowcase if dirty, you are allowing your face to collect extra waste during the night, which could further clog your pores.

It may sound extreme, but if not changing your pillowcase frequently is like taking a dirty rag and rubbing it all around your face for six to eight hours a day. Changing your pillow case daily can help those with acne due to the fact that your pillowcase has bacteria, dust and other acne-causing agents on it.

If you suffer from acne, you are probably very diligent about your skin care routine and you cleanse your skin properly each and every night. However, sleeping on the same pillowcase nightly may cause your acne may look worse than it did the night before.

A scourge of teenagers and adults alike, acne is one of the least understood of all skin conditions – and one of the most common. Usually associated with youth, acne can last well into the adult years and sometimes throughout life. It’s tough to treat, especially if approached as a dirty skin problem. And if not cared for properly, acne can produce scarring on the face and body that is difficult, if not impossible, to clear.

Many people have no idea how often they should be washing their pillowcases. Let’s put it this way – if you’re doing it once a month you’re not changing the linens often enough. If you’re doing it every day, you’re going a little overboard.

When people ask me how often they should change their pillowcases, this is what I suggest. If you have dry or normal hair and you don’t sweat a lot at night, changing your linens once a week should be enough. However, if you have very oily hair or you sweat excessively while you sleep, twice a week should be your goal.

Changing your pillow case and cleaning your sheets roughly every week will keep your skin happier and cleaner A lot of people use the term acne pillowcase. But it will also allow you to sleep better too! After a wash your sheets and pillow case are much cleaner, fluffier and you will look forward to wrapping yourself up in them. This will in turn contribute to better sleep, less stress and once again cleaner skin with less acne. So to eliminate acne you need to keep your sleeping environment as clean as possible. Most people go out into the polluted world for roughly eight hours every day. Their skin is met with dirt, oil and lots of other harmful toxins that are living outside in our polluted cities. Don't add to the assault on your skin by making the place you sleep another bacteria and toxin attack.

Pillow case art work?

I thought it would be a cute idea to get my boyfriend pillows for Christmas because his have lost their fluff. I wanted to personalize it a little, so I thought of maybe making a design or a piece of art work on the pillow case. However, I am unfamiliar (and have had poor experiences) with pillowcase artwork. Does anyone have any suggestions on the medians I should use? Should I use markers or paints or is there a special something I use for this? I don't want to make it tacky, I'm an alright artist, I don't want to embarrass him if he's going to use his pillows at college. Suggestions?

Do not use paint as it will crack when washed ,but do use Alison's idea of fabric paint because that is the purpose of the paint. And also the template idea of hers is a very good idea.Lots of luck with it.
