Are US Navy ship blankets the best ever made?
A 1940-1950 era felted wool US Navy ship blanket. Soft. Heavy. No holes between threads for cold air to get in. Drapes well, yet leaves plenty of dead air pockets for better thermal insulation. Has anyone ever found a better blanket?

When it is chucking it down with really heavy rain outside, and you have your window open just a little to hear it better, its all dark outside and gloomy, and your all snuggled up in a nice soft blanket next to the fire with hot cocoa and marshmellows, or all cosy in bed and you can hear raging thunder outside and flashes of lightening and you feel so safe in your nice warm house.
