Duvet Bed Sheet

Hi fellow seniors, do you have sheets or a duvet on your bed?

Living in England I love my warm floomphy duvet and love to snuggle under on a cold winters night.

During the hot summer months though I like a crisp cotton sheet loosely thrown over to just cover me.

My elderly inlaws on the other hand live in the north of England where it can get extremely cold, still use to this day sheets and blankets and won't entertain the idea of a duvet even though we bought them one a while back.

I suppose it's what they're used to, so I was wondering which do you prefer the duvet or just a plain sheet and or a blanket?

I am now using a duvet with a bottom sheet.
I brought my favorite comforter with me to Hungary but it is too large for the bed that we now have.
In the states we used top and fitted bottom sheets with a comforter in a duvet cover.
The bed I inherited from my MIL is a strange deal.
Our bedroom is very small and I like to use it in the daytime for working out and reading.
The bed I have now is very practical but not all the comfortable.
It has pieces that you remove and turn it into a day bed so the room is opened up for use.
I wanted to purchase a full size bed but don't want to lose the floor space.
My queen size sheets I brought from the US are too big for this daybed so I only use the flat sheet on the bottom and a comforter in a duvet cover on top.
I actually am still using about 4 blankets as well. It is cold for me coming from Vegas to Budapest.
A individual duvet is much more comfortable then having two people pull on one sheet.
My MIL also gave us her feather comforters made out of goose down.They are called a Dunyha over here. I thought they were smelly and too old so we handed them out to some homeless guys a few years ago.There are shops here that recondition the goose down comforters but I prefer just to buy a new one made out of whatever as long as it is warm.

hi..i would try hand cleaner like mechanics use. rub it on stains, let sit for a half hour and wash. i keep it on hand for all stains...cheaper and works better than most pre soak products on the market. i use if for grease and rust as well in carpets. i have never seen it damage any surface. had a guy on here told me it did remove the crazy glue he got on his fingers!! lol
