Toddler Party--Ideas for a Toddler Party Theme

Using a theme for your toddler party will make it much easier for you to plan and to purchase all the things that you'll need for the party, such as plates, napkins and streamers. In fact, when you choose a theme, you can even buy packages that include all of these items together. Older toddlers usually want to choose the theme for a party, but you can select the theme for your one or two year old.

 

Consider the following toddler party ideas:

 

ABCs. Learning the alphabet is a big deal for toddlers, so an ABC theme is a natural choice. One way to do this is to find plates and streamers that feature all of the letters of the alphabet. Alternatively, you can choose just the letter of your child's name and focus the theme around that letter, for example, by creating foods that start with the letter like Patty's pizza and Bobby's birthday burgers.

 

Sesame Street. What child doesn't love Sesame Street. Elmo is the current favorite for most toddlers--they just can't resist that cuddly guy, so what parent can resist using him as the theme. You can also find goods that use all of the Sesame Street characters. Use a Sesame Street theme only with younger kids, as older ones may think that it's too babyish.

 

Colors. You can't get any more simple than using a color as the theme of the party. Ask you child for his favorite color and use that for the theme. Purchase balloons in that color and plates and other accessories. The best part is that solid color items are typically less expensive than those with characters.

 

Disney. There are many different styles of Disney themes to choose from. Look for the character that your child likes best. This might be the classic Mickey Mouse, or maybe a Lion King or a Disney princess theme.

 

Animals. If your child loves animals--and most do--then you could choose that as your theme. For example, you could select his favorite animal and create a party theme based on that. You could also do groups of animals, like a barnyard or jungle theme.

 

Once you've chosen a theme for your toddler party, you can build the decorations around that--get plates, napkins, balloons, banners and so on that all feature the theme. You can also get creative with the party food and incorporate the theme into the food, with an Elmo shaped cake or dog-shaped sandwiches. When you do all of this, you're sure to have a memorable toddler party.

Disney Princess costumes you can figure skate in?

Im doing a group show case and im it we are disney princesess (Belle, Cinderella, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White) does anyone know where we could get dresses that arent kids and toddler sizes that we can also skate in that arent very expensive? Like knee length or longer if we have to and pant legs for ariel? Or have any ideasfor how we could make our own? thanks so so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
