Is Federal Gold Medal Match the best over the counter Ammo?

I shoot .308 cal. with 168 gr. BTHP Sierra Match king bullet with a Remington VS at 100 yd, I can usually do sub-moa groups with federal with no problem, but the ammo is getting more and more expensive. When talking about factory ammo, is it the relationship between the gun and ammo or is it that some manufacturers make better ammo? Can anyone recommend any other competion grade, over the counter .308 cal. ammunition.

I cannot find anything to disagree with in the last two answers. Both people are correct. However, I can offer another solution for match grade ammunition if you still do not wish to load your own. Lost River Ballistics.

Hey here is a suggestion worth its weight in gold. if you like godd chicken tortilla soup and even if you don't. try "Islands fine burgers and drinks". they make the best tortilla soup you will ever taste. I guarantee it. also try their teriyaki avocado burger with a pineaple wedge on top!! better than spikes! sorry only those who live in so.cal know spikes or the best tacos in the world "KING TACO" no I do not work for these people but I should ask for money for selling them.
