Will boots still work with my outfit?
I am going to a charity function tonight. It's not fancy or anything, but I want to look good (I'm 21 by the way). I bought this gorgeous pencil skirt dress. It's black at the bottom and it has a blue check top with frills. It also has a plain black belt. It really looks stunning. I was planning on wearing my black peep-toe stilettos, but it is absolutely freezing today! Now, I'm wondering: Can I wear my black suede knee-high boots with the dress? The boots are round-toed, have a high heel and large silver buckles on the sides. What do you think? I really wanted to wear the stilettos, but it seems the weather is forcing me to come up with something different (and warmer).
All help appreciated. 
make sure the blacks don't clash, and you also need to think about how high the boots come and how low the skirt comes. You'll probably want a little bit of leg showing at least so that you don't look silly. If you think the lengths are ok, then wear all silver accessories to go with the buckles. Post pictures if you can.
