Does anyone know how to get nail polish out of flannel pants and a bed sheet?

We had heard to rub it with nail polish remover and a rag and tried it but it doesn't work. Its been in the fabrics for about 2 weeks and we can't get it out. Really need to get these out! Help please!

Try Acetone from the hardware store -- it is basically the same solution as nail polish remover, only in a stronger form.

First, soak the stain in a glass bowl of acetone (metal might react, plastic might melt) for a few minutes, and then discard the soaking acetone. Then stretch the stained cloth over the glass bowl and make sure the stained side is down, then pour acetone through the stain to flush it out. Repeat with fresh acetone until stain is removed. Then wash the item normally and air dry. Check for acetone smell and rewash if needed. Air dry until you are sure the acetone is out, as it is VERY flammable. Use caution and keep the kids away from this project.
