Luxury Bedding Has Come Home

The second thing to remember when choosing your new luxury bedding is "thread count" Thread count is the number of vertical and horizontal threads in one square inch of fabric. Also the higher the thread count, the softer and more durable the sheets will be.

Can you dye 50% polyester 50% cotton bed sheets?

I have some red bed sheets and they are not quite as dark burgundy as I would like them to be. Can I dye them? and if so, what dye gives the best results?

Probably not. Polyester does not take dye well, especially home dying.

RIT makes the best home dyes. Find a packet of RIT (any colour) and check the package for fabrics that are suitable for dying.

If the packet says you can use polyester and you go ahead, make sure that when you are done, you run the washer a full cycle with no clothing in it (I'd add some bleach to the water, just to be sure) to rinse out any leftover dye or you could find yourself with pink underwear and socks the next time you use it!
