Bed Canopy Mosquito
How can I make a bed canopy without having four posts?
I have a platform bed and I want to make a canopy over it like on of the mosquito net looking ones. I do not want it to hang from the ceiling at one point and just flutter out in a circle I want it to frame my bed like it would if I had a four post bed. So that means I want it to be attached in four places on the ceiling, framing my bed. They do not seem to sell these ANYWHERE except for the ones that look like they belong in an old victorian home. Do you have any suggestion? Ideas? Thank you 
Have you checked out any bedding stores like Bed, Bath, & Beyond? You can create your own canopy by installing screw-in hooks into 4 corners of the ceiling above your bed, and then just find the material you want to hang from them, draping them from each hook to the next. Another idea would be to use some strong, clear fishing line tied from hook to hook, and then drape your material over the fishing line in sections...this way you can use ribbon, or smaller pieces of the same material to tie back sections of the material that is hanging down. If you can't tie the fishing line in a secure enough knot to hold it from one hook to the next, find another form of string that is not too visible & use that. Or you could use a hot glue gun to secure the knot made in the fishing line. GOOD LUCK with this project, and I hope you can find what you're looking for.
